Will Robin Pecknold's Solo Material Confuse Fleet Foxes Fans

Fleet Foxes' frontman Robin Pecknold has taken to SoundCloud to release a nearly 4-minute instrumental track titled "Swimming," which was recorded with his drummer Neal Morgan. The Fleet Foxes have been on the downlow since they released Helplessness Blues in 2011, so fans everywhere can be held over for a bit now that Robin Pecknold is starting to release tracks under his own name. "Swimming" is a wordless cut of beautifully distorted psych-rock and it's pretty exciting to wonder if we'll hear more of Robin Pecknold's new solo career or if this is a teaser into some Fleet Foxes sounds to come. Either way, we like what we're hearing.
