Most of the American late-night talk shows are on repeat this week, so we're stretching our fingers far and wide for good live performances, and we think we hit the Dutch motherload. Jack White
stopped by a German talk show to perform two songs from the upcoming and absurdly anticipated Blunderbuss
. Besides the fact that Jack has either become so pale that he appears to be a deathly light shade of lavender or he's just wearing too much make-up, Jack White proved that he kicks ass no matter which side of the Atlantic he's on. Shredding his way through a stellar run of "Sixteen Saltines" (one of the most balls-to-the-wall rock tunes of the year) and "Freedom at 21," Jack White had a different backing band for each song, one all male and one all female, who will be his touring band. Perhaps it takes two different backing bands to contain the raw energy that is Jack White.
