Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.'s Patterns EP is going to surge right into the summer. The fiery synths and shouts on its latest single "Hiding" make them sound like a cooler, more luminous Passion Pit. You can hear Daniel Zott and Joshua Epstein pushing more buttons for indie pop here, and strategically crafting their energy with depth.

Two weeks ago, we were pretty psyched on the Detroit duo's "If You Didn't See Me (Then You Weren't On The Dancefloor)", and their newest EP is looking like it has some solid summer soundtrack potential with "Hiding." Patterns is set for release on April 16th, and as a Record Store Day exclusive vinyl on April 20th.

And for a throwback with Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., here's our epic interview with them as we spent the day go-karting.
