The country based soft rockers, Drive-By Truckers, stopped by the Conan show on Tuesday night to perform their song "Everybody Needs Love". This track is a touching lullaby of rock, ready to transport you to an imaginary rocking chair on a breezy front porch somewhere that exists in a time continuum of perpetual sunsets and smiles, but with a side of blunt truth. It echoes the simplistic nature of the love-driven lives we lead, but does so without slipping into the sugary sweet perspective that can doom songs about love into cliche categories.

Unless you're Lord Voldemort, everyone can relate to the theme within this track, which refers to the basic happiness that comes from sharing love with another. Personally, I've already made a mental note to add this to my list of songs that will be played at my wedding to the husband I haven't met yet (girl alert). But perhaps for you, it will become a recurring track to be played during long and peaceful drives. "Everybody Needs Love" is a perfect blend of Drive-By Truckers' ability to create genre-friendly music that does not overwhelm with its country twang, and can be enjoyed across most audiences. The song comes from the band's new album Go-Go Boots, which is available now! Check out their performance on Conan of "Everybody Needs Love" below:
