Avant-garde and Bjork
may be synonymous with one another-- and she was rocking a swan for a dress way before Lady Gaga stumbled into a butcher shop instead of Versace. As for Bjork's newest single, "Hollow," off 2011's Biophilia, the concept is surprisingly literal. She says the song might start you, "thinking about your ancestors and DNA," and the video follows that theme, as it was created by biomedical animator Drew Berry, and is filled with images of DNA. Interesting. I wonder what you'd find if you unzipped Bjork's genes?
