For this week's Gear Talk Tuesday, we're chatting with Canadian future house artist, Conro
. He has remixed some pretty high profile songs, like The Chainsmokers
' "All We Know" featuring Phoebe Ryan and Martin Solveig's "Places" featuring Ina Wroldsen. On top of that, he has his own solo singles of course, which altogether reach around 15 million streams on Spotify and counting... These feats along with his fresh production style leads us to believe that he might be one of the biggest electronic artists to hit the scene in the near future, and because of that, we had
to talk to him about his favorite studio secret.
"One of my favourite pieces of gear in my studio is the Universal Audio Apollo Twin Duo. I use it every day, and compared to my last interface it puts it to shame in quality," Conro told Baeble. "I have been focusing on incorporating a lot more live music in my productions lately and this is a perfect portable, great quality option for recording guitars, vocals and anything live. I purchased it last year and have been enthusiastic about it since I purchased it."
"The one thing I love about it is the ease of switching in between my headphone and speaker mix, with a click of a button it is done. Although a simple feature I use it constantly, changing between my mixes so this makes my life that much easier. Also the quality of the sound that I get from the inputs is something to be reckoned with, even putting it up against some serious contenders you'll have a hard time finding a difference. I definitely recommend this piece of gear, I've been happy since I plugged it in and think it's a great piece of gear to have in the home studio."
