Julian Casablancas' newest solo album is on the horizon as he recently premiered its trailer featuring snippets of new material behind a mysterious visual display reminiscent of 80s cyber-culture. The artist is listed as 'Julian Casablancas and The Voidz', so one could assume he has a new backing group. The mysterious group's logo, shown at the end of the trailer and pictured above, is stylized like a retro grit-punk basement show flyer, yet the songs sampled exhibit the experimental and poppy feel of Casablancas' songwriting. Anyone who plans on attending Governors Ball this year is in for a hell of a show with The Strokes performing off Comedown Machine and Julian playing a solo Voidz set.
