There were a lot of things to admire at this year's Academy Awards Ceremony: Jennifer Garner's horrified facial expression
, France McDormand's acceptance speech, the Get Out
win, and Tiffany Haddish and Maya Rudolph's undeniable chemistry. With the good came equal parts bad: all of the snubs (Lady Bird, I, Tonya
) and the Best Picture win for The Shape Of Water
(it was a good film, however not sure it deserved to take home the cake). The fashion during the show worked the same way, too -- there were some awesome looks as well as... Well, not as awesome looks. And if you're like me, judging everyone's outfit choices as you wear sweats and eat your weight in chips and salsa on the couch is the best part of the night. So with that said, after much speculation, here's our favorite - and least favorite - glam from the night.
BEST: Allison Janney
Maybe it was just nice to see homegirl without the glasses and cigarette that we loved so much in I, Tonya.
The woman can clean up nicely. Let's just say she was dressed to win an award!
WORST: Violetta Komyshan
It's not necessarily that Violetta Komyshan, girlfriend of Baby Driver
's Ansel Elgort, didn't look good, but she had a bit of a malfunction. Her top was completely see-through, which wasn't intentional. #NipSlip. However it looks like someone gave her a heads up by the time she got to the Vanity Fair after party because then she started posing with her body completely towards her beau. Unfortunate mishap but she still owned it.
BEST: Timothee Chalamet
C'mon, you think Timothee wouldn't make this list?! He's the wallpaper on all of my electrical devices. But biased opinion aside, he really did dress to impress last night, because of course with all of the hype surrounding him as of late, he knew all eyes would be on him. Well, he smashed it with an all-white suit and KILLER boots. I want boots like that.
WORST: Margot Robbie
Let me just start by saying I LOVE MARGOT ROBBIE. I think she is one of the most talented and beautiful actresses out there right now and I, Tonya
was one of the best films of the year hands down. Here's the thing: she looked stunning last night, BUT, if that dress was in a different color, it would have been even better. She looked a little washed out, and I just wanted her undeniable star quality to shine as bright as it possibly could.
BEST: St. Vincent
If anyone else tried wearing this it might be weird, but it's different with St. Vincent aka Annie Clark. It's rare that we see St. Vincent at a red carpet event such as this, but if she was to show up, this is exactly what she'd wear. It's just so... St. Vincent. Who needs pants?
BEST: Allison Williams
Allison, aka star of Get Out
what a stunner! This dress could be worn for someone's wedding it's so beautiful.
BEST: Daniel Kaluuya
And speaking of Get Out,
we have to give a shout out to the star Daniel Kaluuya. Rocking a very bold tux, he looked classy and dapper as hell.
That is a whole lot of fabric.
Miguel can't really do any harm. He looked and sounded absolutely faaaaabulous during his Oscars performance of Coco's
"Remember Me" alongside the wonderful Natalia LaFourcade.
BEST: Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth
Miley had two
looks: a fun, half hot pink half rhinestone dress for Elton John's party and a simpler half black half white gown for the show. She pretty much proved that she can pull off any type of look, plus her and Liam look so happy together I could shed a single tear.
