With New Jersey being the butt of a copious amount of jokes, and the supposed "armpit" of the US, Bruce Springsteen
is one of its redeeming qualities, and as a fellow New Jerseyan, it's nice to have something to be proud of. Tomorrow (3/6), he'll be releasing his 17th studio album Wrecking Ball
. The most recent single, "We Take Care Of Our Own," has been making waves over the last few months, but it was actually written in 2009. The album has the political overtones you'd expect from Bruce, with a supposed, angrier edge. When you're The Boss, you can get away with just about anything, which is why it's okay that he's incorporated some subtle electronic beats with vocals that are just as good as they were in '73...pretty Boss, I'd say.
