Fun fact about "98": it's the highest number an NHL player can wear in regulation, as Wayne Gtretsky's '99' has been permanently retired as a playable number league-wide. That has nothing to do with today's mixtape. Enjoy!

    1. "You're So Right" - The Strokes - Angles

Hype for Angles is starting to really ramp up, with only 17 days left until the world's most infamously indifferent rock band releases their first collection of tracks in five years. It's out 3/22.

    2. "Shake Me Down" - Cage The Elephant - Thank You Happy Birthday

Modest Mouse meets everything you listened to in 1995 (including Modest Mouse?). Their sophmore record came out in January.

    3. "Choice Notes" - Alex Winston - Choice Notes 7"

Good reason car companies (even in Europe and the UK, in this case) are snatching up tracks like hot cakes; they make things memorable. This singer songwriter is currently drawing comparisons to radio bait like Florence and the Machine (for good reason). Catchiness factor is through the roof.

    4. "Grass Helmet" - Royal Bangs - Flux Outside

A new Glassnote band that is poised to blow up after SXSW, with the release of their third LP following shortly after (3/29).

    5. "Grab Your Coat" - Ocean Grove - Little Record EP

Still infusing a little balmy sunshine on the mixtape in the hopes that it might rub off on the weather in New York (we're getting there).

    6. "Who Am I To Feel So Free" - The Men - Talk About Body

Always good to follow the pop-bits with an art collective from Brooklyn who make "Disco House" and tweet stuff like "I just ate a scorpion". Mixtape rules.

    7. "Freaks and Geeks" - Childish Gambino - Barney Vs. The Dinosaur

Anyone watch Community? Comedian Donald Glover (he plays Troy) is a bit of a renaissance man, playing rapper as the witty Childish Gambino. It's a one-liner party with a solid beat, who doesn't love that?

    8. "Marriage" - Gold Panda - Lucky Shiner

Some bands know how to make their sh*t sound like diamonds. Gold Panda's sparkly electronics go great with most alcoholic beverages, making it a great warm-it-up for Friday track. Put it on your ears!

    9. "Up So Fast" - Young Man - Boy

Colin Caufield is such a nice guy, we're glad after our great CMJ shoot Young Man is still gaining traction (and playing a whole bunch at SXSW).

    10. "I Follow Rivers" - Lykke Li - Wounded Rhymes

You know we love us some Lykke Li here at Baeble, so we're all pretty pumped about her new record (out now).
