It wasn't even two years ago that Adam Lambert
lost American Idol to season eight winner Kris Allen, making the amount of accomplishments he has achieved during that time undeniably impressive. Though a controversial artist, Lambert has certainly benefited from the media coverage, and luckily had the talent to back up this attention. He became the first ever Idol contestant to follow his time with Peaches and the gang (that would be Ryan Seacrest's new nickname, for those of you who don't watch the show) with a world tour promoting his debut album. He returns to the Idol stage next week on the Thursday March 10th show, to perform an acoustic rendition of his song "Aftermath" with over 1 million records sold and a Grammy nomination to his name.
"Aftermath", a track from his debut album For Your Entertainment
, was included on his acoustic EP and will be featured on the March 22nd release of his upcoming Glam Nation Live CD/DVD
. Following his Idol performance, a Billboard remix of "Aftermath" will become available on Lambert's website
, and he will be donating a portion of the proceeds to The Trevor Project
. American Idol sure isn't for everyone, but if you're interested be sure to tune in, because season ten has proven to be quite a competitive one. Or you can just watch to create a drinking game out of how many times Steven Tyler swears and inadvertently hits on the sixteen-year-old contestants.
If you are still undecided, you can listen to an acoustic version of "Aftermath" below:
