Last night the audience at Wonder Ballroom in Portland, Oregon got an unexpected package deal after purchasing tickets to see The War on Drugs. The band went into a twangy rockin' cover of John Lennon's "Mind Games", which inspired a surprise cameo by who but Jim James of My Morning Jacket. Adam Granduciel and Jim James make quite the brotherly duo with their shoulder length curls swaying in hippie unison. James' explanation for his impromptu Portland appearance revealed that My Morning Jacket was there working on a new album...featuring The War on Drugs? Fingers crossed.
