A Portrait of The Past, Present, and Future With Alex Clare

Alex Clare is a fascinating musician. He best known for "Too Close", from his 2011 album, The Lateness Of The Hour. The song spun the globe when it was released, thanks in part to a massive ad campaign that featured it. It's fair to say that it's the song that has propelled his career. Unlike some artists that have run away from this kind of song success, Alex has realistically embraced the tune. He's grateful for what it has done for his career, and realizes people still want to hear it...including us, in this acoustic sesh.

The other remarkable aspect of Alex's career is how he's always had one foot firmly entrenched in EDM while the other stands in a more folk-oriented world. It's a fascinating dichotomy; something Alex was keen to talk about as well. Sharing songs from his new album Tail of Lions as well as a couple of older tunes, our newest NEXT Session rather impressively paints a total portrait of where Alex has been, where he is now, and where he's going.
