Lana Del Rey
has officially announced a follow-up for 2015's Honeymoon
. It's called Lust For Life
and it's "coming soon" - which she announced with a black-and-white trailer with sci-fi aesthetics featuring a very witchy Lana Del Rey.
The trailer begins with Lana Del Rey's playful voice saying, "You know, in this town, an artist really needs a lot of space when they're creating something special. A place to cultivate a world of their own, far away from the real world that's around them." She appears, spinning a globe, as she's in her home that's "inside the middle of the H of the Hollywood sign." It mixes vintage with a little bit of the space imagery that we saw in her latest music video for "Love." Lana says she spends her days "cooking up something for the kids" - as she said recently this upcoming album isn't for her, it's for her fans.
"Amidst all the uncertainty, and as we transition out of one era into another one, there's no place I'd rather be than smack-dab in the middle of "Holly-weird" making this record for you. Because you, and the music, and this place, are my love, my life, my lust for life."
The Weeknd is also rumored to be on the title track and if Lust For Life
is anything like this trailer, it's going to be magical.
