Bleachers Puts Their Mark On A Beatles Classic

The Beatles are my favorite band (yeah, I know that's a cliche choice but for f***'s sake; they're the Beatles), and unless your name is Joe Cocker, I'm probably not going to be too fond of your cover of a Beatles song. "Dear Prudence" in particular is one of my favorite Beatles tracks, and when I saw that Bleachers had covered that classic, I was... skeptical.

I shouldn't have been. Jack Antonoff's minimalist take on the song is beautiful while still retaining the psychedelic mystery that made the original one of the most beloved songs ever written. Antonoff uses auto-tune to play with the vocal soundspace in the track, and if Bleachers wants to cover more Beatles songs in the future, they've now earned the benefit of the doubt.
