Keane has always been the British piano rock act that you never had to guiltily explain to your friends about enjoying. Building a reputation as being the band that doesn't have any guitars and exploding over the British musical landscape (they're still sadly underappreciated here in the States) thanks to their first two albums Hopes and Fears and Under the Iron Sea, Keane have always been the more understated and nuanced response to the grand (and at times overblown) ambitions of Chris Martin and crew. Keane is releasing their next album, Strangeland, on 5/7, and they've dropped the first single, "Silenced by the Night." This sounds a lot like a Coldplay song so Keane fans may get slightly worried, but it remains beautiful British pop music so we can't complain too much.

Keane have also announced new plans for a summer tour. Check out the dates below so you can see if you'll have the opportunity to bellow along to "Somewhere Only We Know" and all of your other favorite Keane tracks along with the genuine article themselves.
