Ty Segall is on quite the bizarre, creepy performance streak to promote his latest album, Emotional Mugger, and it's clearly working as his wacky performances are only getting more absurd and possibly causing some nightmares. He appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert dressed in full clown make-up as he passed out candy to a terrified crowd during his wild performance for "Candy Sam." On a local Chicago news show, he wore an evil baby mask and screamed the lyrics to "Squealer," ending the song with a chaotic "CHICAGO!" chant.

Ty Segall and his bandmates, The Muggers, decided to take it up a notch the other night when they performed another Emotional Mugger track "California Hills" on Conan. Backlit with hazy blue and green lights, Ty Segall appears on stage wearing the same satanic, big-headed baby mask (which he's named Sloppo, his new alter ego) and he's backed by The Muggers who were all dressed as white-haired, old men. "Send them all back to hell / American nightmare, guilty generation" is belted out by an eerie Ty Segall as he points into your soul and proves any dance move can look creepy whilst wearing a baby mask.
