Spring has sprung (kind of)! As the wacky weather in New York continues to careen towards pleasantly warm every day, we're excited to bring you ten tunes to turn from huddling around the fire to prancing up and down the avenues in short shorts.

New! Listen to (most of) the mixtape on Spotify!

    1. "Are You Gonna' Waste My Time?" - Zeus - Busting Visions

It might be that the guys used the same microphones as the Beatles used on Rubber Soul to record this album, but this is some seriously delicious vintage-y goodness.

    2. "No Way Down" - The Shins - Port Of Morrow

Something about the chorus of this song melts your brain with the idea that everything might be OK. Shit's more effective than accupuncture.

    3. "Abraham's Daughter" - Arcade Fire - The Hunger Games: Songs From District 12 and Beyond

Yeah, this is just about the perfect soundtrack for The Hunger Games.

    4. "Eye Of Yours" - Radiation City - Cool Nightmare EP

Radiation City is really settling into their washed-out climactic sound, and we love it.

    5. "Leonard" - Sharon Van Etten - Tramp

The next single off Tramp is a little more giddy/frowny than the straight angry melancholy of "Serpents," but no less well-constructed.

    6. "California" - Delta Spirit - Delta Spirit

This song, off Delta Spirit's forthcoming LP, will get the blood pumping.

    7. "Myth" - Beach House - Bloom

Well, it sounds like Beach House, I'll give them that. The first single from the band's new album doesn't turn up the excitment, but it does successfully please former fans in a way Radiohead's "Bloom" didn't.

    8. "Turn On The Sunshine" - Suckers - Candy Salad

Suckers is a great spring/summer soundtrack, so get your Candy Salad while it's still fresh!

    9. "Ghost Robot" - Willis Earl Beal - Acousmatic Sorcerey

We're not exactly sure what to make of this lo-fi stuff, but Willis Earl Beal is playing ?uestlove's 'Shufle Culture' festival at BAM next month, and it's strangely hypnotic for being, more or less, a true bedroom recording.

    10. "Perfect World" - Gossip - A Joyful Noise

Beth Ditto/Gossip are releasing a new album soon, here's your first pumped-up taste.
