Today has been one of countless ugly days in recent memory
. I think I'm going to wind up writing something about the terrorist attacks in Brussels at a later point today, but right now, I imagine we all just need something warm...some basic comfort. The fact that humanity soldiers on in the face of this constant horror and doesn't simply retreat into a state of constant existential despair is hard to grasp on days like this.
So, I'll just keep this short. Chris Martin stopped by The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon
to play piano on the seminal David Bowie track, "Life On Mars," while Fallon himself sings (and The Roots' Captain Kirk Douglas plays guitar for a bit). It's one of Bowie's most gorgeous tracks, and we could all use a little light in our lives today.
