Miguel's Elton John Cover Is So Bonkers That It's Great

    Every year we see a slew of commemorative cover albums where contemporary artists give the classics their own spin. This year, to mark the 40th anniversary of Elton John's monumental seventh album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, musicians like Ed Sheeran and Miguel have recorded fresh renditions of the entire 9-track record. Miguel's celebratory contribution to the iconic piece is a fresh swing at "Bennie and the Jets", which he recorded alongside DC rapper Wale. The two may seem like surprising donors, but Captain Fantastic is still longing to make his own hip-hop record, and he recently told Rolling Stone that he'd love to do so with a little help from Pharrell and/or Kanye. If incorporating rap into his own records sounds anything like the weird and wacky cover below, we could get into it...
