Kurt Vile Is Xanax To Our Ears

There's a valiant collective of Kurt Vile enthusiasts in the Baeble office who listen to anything he releases to the power of 10. Surprisingly, those of us without Smoke Ring for My Halo posters covering our cubicle walls, cannot complain about the gentle echoes of Vile's voice that saturate the airwaves. His sedative tones are like Xanax to the ears of his listeners. There's also something about the long-haired Philly boy that seems so damned relatable.

This is especially so in the video that introduces his latest single, "Never Run Away", off the forthcoming Wakin on a Pretty Daze (4/8). Kurt sits beside an old record player in what we assume is his den and plays the single like we're right there with him. We're also assuming that the cute little girl who says the album will go platinum is his daughter.

Watch/Listen as Kurt Vile introduces "Never Run Away" below:

Walkin on a Pretty Daze is set to release on April 8th, and you can pre-order it here.
