Reading The Music With Tommy Wallach

    When The Mountain Goats' John Darnielle released his debut novel Wolf in White Van last year, it got me thinking about something. Why don't more of our more literary songwriters write books? Well, we here at Baeble are very happy to be premiering the newest single, "I Will Watch," from Brooklyn singer-songwriter Tommy Wallach as well to tell all of you about Wallach's forthcoming dual album & book release show at Joe's Pub on March 27th.

    Imagine the gorgeous piano pop/rock of Rufus Wainwright minus some of the more overbearing theatrics, and you'll get the idea of Tommy Wallach's sound. Wallach is releasing his first novel, We All Looked Up, due out on Simon & Schuster next week, and he is also releasing a companion album of the same name. The book is also being made into a movie by Paramount next year so we're glad to be getting in on the bottom floor with this exciting new artist.
