has known a thing or two about touring the globe even well before her name was appearing on show bills with the likes of Sam Smith
and Justin Bieber
Born in England, Bizu didn't stick around for long before jetting off to Bahrain and later Ethiopia with her father for a few years. Boarding school came next, along with her first real introduction to music and performance and ultimately her first experience with music writing with the R&B-pop group SoundGirl. Interestingly, as high as SoundGirl brought her up, it took her down. After the group was dropped from their label Bizu did a little bit of soul searching and a lot of open mic playing, all the while coming to realization that she had to be her own support system.
Tired yet? That's just the first act of her incredible tale. Bizu ended up doing what very few have ever accomplished, and ended up getting signed from her open mic performances. From there, well, the rest is history. She supported Sam Smith on tour in 2013 before getting the honors of playing Glastonbury in 2015 and ultimately, living the dream of touring with Coldplay last year.
With all her jet-setting around the world and taking in other cultures it's no surprise that Bizu's music is as diverse as her experiences. Take in her unique sound and hear more about her experiences in our NEXT Session with her, exclusively on Baeble Music.
