Former Disney Channel star/current indie pop princess Bridgit Mendler
released her Nemesis EP
last year. It was the first album she released since Hello My Name Is...
in 2012 and it was her real, official break into the indie pop world as an adult who didn't need to follow some baby named Charlie around. Finally, she was looked at a solo artist on her own terms (kind of like Miley Cyrus, but way less crazier). The EP consisted of "Atlantis," a harmony-heavy, downtempo song Imogen Heap would be proud of and "Do You Miss Me At All," the ultimate "where the fuck are you?!" anthem.
Now, not waiting long after the EP's release, Mendler is demonstrating her strong work ethic and is already back with a new single "Temperamental Love" with Canadian hip hop artist Devontée
. It's in the same realm of her latest EP but with Devontée delivering smooth verses this time, it has more of a old school hip hop nostalgia to it. As for Mendler's charismatic voice, it's no doubt a powerful one to be reckoned with.
