Maybe it's just me, but I can only handle the extreme melodrama and theatrics of Lana Del Rey
in small doses. After more than two or three songs, her schtick begins to wear thin. Perhaps, that's why so many people found Born to Die
so tiring. Well, Lana's back in the saddle again with a new video for the rare Born to Die
track that actually came off as playfully ironic rather than completely artificial. "Blue Jeans" actually already had a video
before, but Lana decided to release a new one. Essentially, it's the "Born to Die" video all over again in black & white and in a pool. Way to defy our expectations and take things in a radically new direction. I think I preferred the "found footage" style for the old video even if that is essentially just like "Video Games."
