The gods of rock and roll have answered our prayers. Surf punk band Wavves and lo-fi outfit Cloud Nothings have finally announced the details on a previously announced collaborative album. After mentioning the album in passing last year, the two frontmen Nathan Williams and Dylan Baldi have been quiet on the status of the collaboration. Today, they offered up recording details and the great title No Life For Me.

It looks like the album could be coming soon. Despite Williams being pretty busy building hype for his new side gig Spirit Club, Williams seems to be ready for a busy Spring/Summer. Recorded last year in Los Angeles and produced by William's production team Sweet Valley, the album was entirely co-written by Williams and Baldi, with the exception of the song "Such A Drag." Guest appearances will come from Rostam Batmanglij (Vampire Weekend) as well as Nathan's brother Joel. There are few details on what to expect sonically, but imagine sunny California surf rock melodies mixed with angsty mid-West noise rock. Sign me up!

Check out footage from our Baeble Concert series with Wavves at The Market Hotel below and expect more details on No Life For Me to come soon.
