We have a SXSW hangover. By Saturday, the deadly combination of sleep deprivation and a hearty diet compliments of Taco Bell, had us on our knees begging for a slightly less lumpy La Quinta pillow to cry into. But we battled on, and put on one of our best day parties in years, officially bringing our week-long residency down in Austin to a close.
Overwhelming fatigue seemed rampant by the end of the week, as a few bands were forced to cancel their set at The Launch Pad last minute, but some super substituting acts saved the day (as well as our trusty producer's speed dial).
It's become somewhat of a trend that we host a slew of overseas artists, and this year was no different. To name a few - we welcomed the always glamorous Paloma Faith (UK), The Staves (UK), Civil Twilight (originally from South Africa), BOY (Germany), Willy Moon (UK), and more.
It's difficult to choose a favorite performance, but highlights included the sexed-up dance party turned on by AVAN LAVA (see the lusty pic below) as well as The Thermals' Hutch Harris' almost immediate leap into the crowd.
Scroll through and enjoy some choice photos from The Launch Pad and stay tuned to catch the full-length concert videos from each and every performance.
