LA-based trio, LANY (which stands for Los Angeles New York) is following up their rookie year by making some big moves in the new year. They've released a single called "Where The Hell Are My Friends" on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show and has us daydreaming of summertime with its catchy, alt-pop sounds.

Even though it's an undeniably happy-sounding and summer hit-worthy track, it's actually desperation-filled that causes major life-pondering. Frontman Paul Klein sings, "Am I starting to hate California? Why am I in LA?" in the chorus over the tapping synths and spidery riffs of the catchy, electronic track.

LANY is working on a music video for "Where The Hell Are My Friends" and is currently on tour in the UK with Polydor Record label-mate, Ellie Goulding.
