For this week's Gear Talk Tuesday, we're chatting with massive electronic producer/DJ, Yves V. Hailing from Belgium, the big room artist has been consistently taking over the world ever since his debut. He has gained millions of streams on Spotify with the hits heard at parties all over the planet, "Unbroken," "Daylight," "Find Your Soul," and his remixes of Timbaland and Missy Elliot. In addition to pumping out hits for dancefloors, he has also lit up the mainstage of iconic events like Tomorrowland, Sensation, Amsterdam Dance Event, David Guetta in Concert and Mysteryland. Already getting support from total A-listers like David Guetta, Afrojack, Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren and Radio 1's Danny Howard and Pete Tong, Yves V is joining the giants.

Of course, when talking to such a prestigious producer, one of the first questions that pops into our mind is, well, what's your favorite tool to produce with? So we asked him, and he responded with the Vengeance VPS Multiband Sidechain. "I have had this for a few years but I love to work with it. I use this on all my tracks and everything that needs to be sidechained, it's very easy to work with and very functional," Yves V explained to Baeble. "It is important to side-chain in dance music as it really gets the track pumping and drives it forward, and the fact the side-chain is multiband is especially helpful. For example, if you wanted to clear up some space in the low end (as sidechaining is most commonly used for) you can duck the bass and sub frequencies to allow the kick to come through, while keeping the mids and highs from the element you are sidechaining in place, which makes the effect sound more natural."
