Why does every artist have to drop their album on the same day? For us listeners, it's a challenge to catch up with every new release, especially when it's several different releases from all really exciting artists. So to cut through the noise and make sure you have all of your ducks in a row, we're briefly rounding up the most important albums to listen to this week.

    1. Various Artists - Black Panther: The Album

The soundtrack for Marvel's Black Panther was produced and curated by Kendrick Lamar and Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith. Lamar is credited as a lyricist/composer on every track and the soundtrack features a ton of excellent artists like SZA, James Blake, Zacari, Khalid, Vince Staples, and more.

MUST LISTENS: "All The Stars (with SZA)," "Pray For Me (with The Weeknd)"

    2. MGMT - Little Dark Age

MGMT are finally back, and this time with a record that we think will bring back the day 1 fans they originally earned back in 2007 with the release of Oracular Spectacular.

MUST LISTENS: "Little Dark Age," "Me and Michael"

    3. Franz Ferdinand - Always Ascending

Always Ascending is the band's follow up to 2015's FFS (the collaborative album with Sparks) and 2013's Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Actions. It's also their first album with their two new band members, Julian Corrie and Dino Bardot.

MUST LISTENS: "Always Ascending," "Feel The Love Go," "Lazy Boy"

    4. Palm - Rock Island

This quirky band is out with their sophomore album, the follow up to 2017's Shadow Expert EP and 2015's Trading Basics.

    MUST LISTENS: "Pearly," "Dog Milk"

    5. The Wombats - Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life

Brit rockers are finally back with the follow up to 2015's Glitterbug.

MUST LISTENS: "Lemon To A Knife Fight," "Cheetah Tongue," "Black Flamingo"
