The goofy-named Earl Sweatshirt has been somewhat of a secret character in the Odd Future gang, despite the resounding response to his contribution to the group's 2010 breakout (his album, EARL, was among the best received). Many news outlets chased Earl's shadow from OFWGKTA's base in LA to Samoa, where he was reportedly locked down at a youth camp. Now it seems Earl has resurfaced (via Twitter and Tumblr) with new material.

The track, "Home," has Earl spitting his Das Racist level-fluid rhymes over a simple beat. It's fun! And if he's truly back, it might be enough to snatch the polarized spotlight from current blog-target-practice recipient Lana Del Rey, right back to the Wolf Gang.

Hear the track over at Earle's site, Terttlefer.
