Sneak Peak: First Taste of Fitz and The Tantrums' 80s Vibe

A track from Fitz and The Tantrums' upcoming sophomore album (expected by May 7th on Elektra Records) has leaked, giving listeners a hint to their top-notch spry dance music. In Out of My League (i.e. leaked track) the drums sprinkle like salt and pepper as a shaker is used throughout. The eminent piano chords tremble and waver with reverb. Their unreleased album, More Than Just A Dream as Michael Fitzpatrick, lead singer, puts it, reveals more of their taste for the 80s, rather than how their previous album sounded: a sixties-esque tributary. "Out Of My League" features bubblegum beats, melodic euh-hoooing and all those tempestuous disco-themed rhythms all the while Fitzpatrick's voice echoes: "You were more than just a dream."
