Is Elliphant's New Video a Game Changer

Elliphant's "Step Down" is a potential game changer for the Swedish starlet. A done-up female, dancing around a beautiful, aesthetically obscure environment lip syncs "I'm home, home alone. I call, call again you not answering." Elliphant is creating her own lovable identity with pure sound.

"Step Down" is a pretty easy listen. An edgy message exists within lyrics sprinkled with "Fuck it" across the chorus and the pre chorus. Effortless energy is created with the subtle, yet exciting flux of the synth and intonation of this raspy melodic voice. This song gets me stoked for something that resembles acts like MIA, Phantogram, Tove Lo, softened Icona Pop, and a less disco/more simplistic Cherub.
