Out and About: Local Natives at Bowery Ballroom

    On Sunday night, Local Natives played the last of three NYC shows at the Bowery Ballroom. Guitarist Taylor Rice even acknowledged that the band had a "big week" following the release of their new album, Hummingbird, and the evening took on a similar tone of celebration. The sold out crowd warmly received the band from the beginning, and as the show progressed the atmosphere became increasingly livened. Though their latest album carries somber tones, the music transitioned perfectly to the live environment.
