Bill Murray is a source of inspiration for many artists—from the Wes Anderson-themed art show, Bad Dads
, to the picture of his face tattooed on the back of my arm, to most recently Phantogram's
latest single off Voices
that dons the name of the adored icon. According to an interview with The Atlantic
, the group imagined a sad Bill as the song's visual, and dream of having him star in its video. And it's not too difficult to imagine a solemn Herman Blume chain smoking along to the song's contemplative synth tones. And if they can't get the real deal in the video, my tattoo has a pretty clear schedule.
is due out February 18th on Republic Records.
