There's nothing more disappointing than arriving all ready and prepared for a session, only to have your amp stop working right before show time. That's exactly what happened to UK duo Fenech Soler
when they arrived at Baeble HQ. It was a bummer to say the least, but the band handled it with such grace, we were all able to laugh about it when they came back a few days later for a second take.
Our patience definitely paid off, Fenech Soler delivered one of the most magical sessions we've experienced in a while. Equipped with an extra keyboard player, brothers Ross and Ben Duffy provided catchy vocals and infectious beats blended with electric guitar riffs. They played the lead singles, "Kaleidoscope" and "Conversation," off of their brand new album Zilla
and even dove into 2014's Rituals
Watching the duo transform club bangers into an intimate, magical performance right before our eyes was truly impressive. When the songs sound great no matter what form they take, that's when you know something special is happening. You'll be able to see it for yourself when we release the full session this Thursday.
