Baeble First Play: The Minimalist Synthpop Groove of FAIRCHILD

Leave it to the Aussies to breathe new life back into synthpop (a genre that has threatened to become the most over-saturated space in contemporary indie pop). Last year's Currents from Tame Impala was the synth/psychedelic rock fusion we all desperately needed. And Melbourne synth-poppers FAIRCHILD are bringing their own spin to the genre with a minimalist, almost post-punk spin on contemporary electro-pop.

We premiered the lyric video for "Breathless" last year but they're back with the official video for the track which matches the minimalist themes of the track (and the prior lyric video). This is synthpop for folks who want something to listen to as they lie in their bed and think about where their life is going, and as somebody who probably spends too much time doing just that, this track more than gets the job done.
