Breaking news; New Jersey citizens listen to Bruce Springsteen more than any other state in the country. If it weren't obvious already, scientific proof confirms New Jerseys devotion to 'The Boss.' A recent study conducted by Paul Lamere of Music Machinery analyzed national listening trends among a variety of music platforms to determine the most popular artist in each state.

The basic lesson of this map is to stay open-minded when making assumptions about different states. Some results were quite shocking, one might assume Nirvana's Seattle roots would represent the beloved state of Washington. Well Nevermind then, Rhode Island's smell for teen spirit outshines listeners from the Pacific Northwest. Country pop stars Florida Georgia Line should possibly consider a name change as Ohio listeners listen to their songs more than anyone from Florida or Georgia. Canada's legendary trio Rush reaches Hemispheres of listeners in Delaware while Pittsburgh's Wiz Khalifa's "Black and Yellow" resonates with Arkansas. And just when you thought things couldn't get any worse in Arizona, it's revealed that they love Linkin Park. What artist represents your home state? Check out the map below to find out.
