Adele is coming back strong after taking a few years off to spend time with her family since 2012. The British powerhouse released her third album last year, 25, and within days, it was named the Best Selling Album of 2015. To put the cherry on top of Adele's epic return, she took home four trophies at last night's Brit Awards and stole the show with a performance of "When We Were Young" from 25.
She took home trophies for Global Success, Best Single, Best Album (huge!), and Best Female Solo Singer...the moment in the show where she publically showed her support for Kesha during her short acceptance speech. She also thanked her manager and her record label for accepting her for being a woman and embracing it. Kesha is fighting Kemosabe Recordsan (part of Sony Music) and Adele is one of Sony's most successful stars. So the public support of Adele relating her experience as a woman in the music industry to Kesha's battle is a big move. Could Adele's support of Kesha make Sony Music rethink their denial of Kesha's plea to get out of the record label? Maybe. What we do know is - Adele was the Queen of the BRIT Awards.
