Founding fathers of dance-rock, The Faint will release Doom Abuse, their ninth career album and first in six years, on April 8th. After recently touring in support of the re-release of their iconic 2001 work Danse Macabre's remaster, the Omaha legends completed the new 12-track effort with mixing help from fellow Nebraska native Mike Mogis. The record will be their first under the SQE Records imprint.

To accompany the announcement, Todd Fink and crew shared a music video for the album's first single, "Help in the Head", and it's as bleak and industrial as any fan could hope it to be. Similar to the force of 1999's Blank-Wave Arcade, the new song emphasizes a foreboding tone—a sense of uncertainty that only sex, drugs, and booze could stall.

Pre-order Doom Abuse here prior to its April 8th release.
