Bad news, Beyhive: The Queen Bey is out of commission this spring. After weeks of nervous speculation following her sudden pregnancy
announcement, Coachella has confirmed today that Beyonce will not be performing at this year's festival. The statement posted on Coachella's Facebook page cites "advice from [Beyonce's] doctors" to dial back on her packed schedule to focus on her pregnancy. However, there is still hope, as the festival promises that she will be a headliner at next year's festival.
Unfortunately, many Beyonce fans planning on going to Coachella and already bought tickets may not be able to afford going again, and Lord knows the last thing you want to do is to kick around the Beyhive. Seriously, who picks a fight with Rachel Ray
? Crazy people, that's who. All that woman has done is gift us with delicious stuffed pork recipes. Anyway, it's not like this news is unexpected (she'd already be at least 4 months pregnant by the time the festival starts), but it certainly is a huge bummer. Having Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar, and Beyonce as headliners seemed too good to be true, and apparently it was. The next step would be to figure out Bey's replacement, as the Rhiannas and Gagas of the world might already have their summer tours locked and loaded and simply may not have time. All we can do for now is see who will be brave enough to take Beyonce's spot, and in turn, deal with her rabid fans who may be a bit upset they're not seeing their Queen in action.
