Today we're premiering the new single "Amazing" from Brooklyn-based up-and-comer Aaron Taos
. The song sounds like what you'd imagine a song called "Amazing" to sound like -- upbeat and feel-good. As Taos weaves through spacey, synth-y grooves and rhythmic bass, it's a song that'll either have you dancing or zoning out in pure bliss. "'Amazing' is a song harkening back to the initial stages of my relationship with my girlfriend," Taos shared in a statement. "It was a level of intimacy that I hadn't experienced before. It's about lust and sitting home in the wee hours of the morning thinking about that person you wish was there with you."
The song also comes with an amazing
video (see what I did there?), directed by Patrick Golan, who shared, "I really wanted to capture the vibe of the track in an unconventional way. I thought it was a cool opportunity to look inside the head of a marginalized character, someone you see every day, but don't pay much mind to. In this case, a delivery boy. Luckily Aaron was down to do something outside the box, so we did!" And it's good that they did, because although the song shines on its own, the video is what really pushes it over the edge. Watching a delivery boy on the job is way more interesting than you'd think it'd be, and Golan and Taos did a good job of showing it in a dynamic and intriguing way.
