The Shins Release 'Mildenhall' Off Upcoming Album

    We are less than a month away from hearing The Shin's upcoming album, Heartworms (out March 10th) and weve already heard the singles, "Dead Or Alive" and "Name For You". Now, we are able to hear a third single and it's a warm and folk-pop single called "Mildenhall."

    A good portion of the track is frontman, James Mercer, strumming his acoustic guitar and singing about he used to be an army brat. "At fifteen we had to leave the states again / Dad was stationed at an RAF station they called Mildenhall ." Mercer sings about how he picked up his dad's guitar and started playing through rainy days. There's an underwater feel to the drum beat and the melody is reminiscent of The Beach Boy's "Kokomo." The three singles we've heard from Heartworms so far tell us that The Shins are definitely back to their original sound.
