The Baltimore experimental rockers band from Baltimore, Maryland. But this act's geographical derivatives may be irrelevant, because AnCo are on a world tour to promote Painting With. Painting With is Animal Collective's ninth studio album, which will be fully released at the end of this week.
One of the most intriguing tracks off of Painting With that's dropped so far is "Golden Gals." The video for this song is one of a kind. This video's subject is an animated girl's floating head swirled into a combination of color and motions to match the beat of this funky tune. "Golden Gals" really hits the nail on the head for Animal Collective fans. With this track's sample from the 1990s television show, Golden Girls, and a STRFKR-esque sound, we can expect Painting With to lead the game for experimental music across the indie soundsccape.
