Luke Rathborne maintains his own pop aesthetic that separates the artist from the vast landscape of similarity. Pop music today has taken a turn towards uplifting escapism. Rathborne has averted this trend by emitting melodic tunes of melancholic realism. His impending album is the double EP, I Can Be One/Dog Years, on Dilettante Records.

The second EP off of the album, "Dog Years", displays Rathborne's optimistic attitude towards the less-than-perfect periods of life. The country-twang of his acoustic guitar inspires audiences to raise their glasses and sway in unison.
