Fun. is a band formed by previous Format lead singer Nate Ruess. After The Format's breakup in 2008, Ruess moved to New York City and met up with Andrew Doft and Jack Antonoff. He's described in detail the seemingly fate-like union on the band's website, stating "How much we've grown together, and how crucial they are to this group and the songs we create." He's also gone into great detail about the process of creating their new album Some Nights which is due out 2/21. After spending 2011 touring with Janelle Monae, they've linked up with her again on the hit single, "We Are Young," that's been featured in just about everything from a Chevy commercial to a Glee episode. Don't let the Glee appearance fool you into thinking this is a clean pop project, these guy's are more complex than that or their band name suggests. Here's a preview of the new album and Nate's overzealous description of his experience with the band creating it.

    Some Nights is out 2/21.
