There are stupid, aggravating beefs in music every year, but 2015 seemed to indulge in the most asinine and maddening feuds at every turn. Whether that's Drake and Meek Mill trying to destroy each other (guess who won) or Noel Gallagher continuing to be the most obnoxious remnant of Britpop. But people seem to love meaningless celebrity feuds and we so we put together our list of the most headline grabbing feuds of the year.

    Noel Gallagher vs. Everything

Google "Things Noel Gallagher Hates" and you will be greeted by an endless supply of quotes and interviews, the likes of which I couldn't even scratch the surface of. It would be far easier to list out a few things Noel loves but I can't seem to find any. Anyways, no matter how much he hates it, the world will continue to turn in spite of Noel Gallagher's scorn.

    Winner: Everything
    Loser: Noel Gallagher's soul

    St. Vincent vs. Burritos

After working as a waitress at her family's restaurant in Dallas, when asked the eternal question "Tacos or Burritos?" during an interview with SPiN magazine, Annie Clark responded "Get outta here with that. Taco! Go back to San Francisco. I don't need a burrito." It goes without saying that this caused a massive uproar of disapproval from the interwebs, leading to her issuing an official apology

    Winners: Burritos, The Internet
    Loser: Tacos

Donald Trump vs. Neil Young, Aerosmith, and R.E.M.

Trump plays "Dream On" at one of his rallies; Aerosmith Files a cease-and-desist. Trump plays "Rockin' In The Free World;" he gets called out by Neil Young, who gives privileges to play the song to Bernie Sanders. Trump plays "It's The End Of The World As We Know It;" he gets told to go f*** himself by Michael Stipe. But don't worry Trump, Dee Snyder is totally down with you using "We're Not Gonna Take It."

Winner: Neil Young, Aerosmith, and R.E.M.
    Loser: Donald Trump, Twisted Sister

    Steve Albini vs EDM

When EDM artist Powell emailed legendary producer Steve Albini to get permission to use a vocal sample from his old band Big Black, Albini responded by trashing the entire dance music genre and everything to do with the people, the music, and the scene as a whole (though, in Albini's defense, he did give permission to use the sample). Powell saw the opportunity to use this to his advantage and published the entire email as a billboard for his single "Insomniac."

    Winner: Powell, EDM and Advertising
    Loser: Steve Albini

Jack White vs The Black Keys

After a long-standing beef with the Black Keys over them stealing "his sound" it seemed that Jack had finally buried the hatchet after claiming "I wish the Black Keys all the success they can get." However following a Neil Young tribute in NYC, White allegedly tried to fight drummer Patrick Carney. The details of the events that transpired are blurry to say the least, with each side exchanging press releases and tweets full of accusations and denial. In the end Jack, came off as a bully (again).

Winner: The Black Keys, Patrick Carney
    Loser: Jack White

    Keith Richards vs. Music

This year, Keith Richards released his solo blues album Crosseyed Heart and with it came a slew of interviews with the Rolling Stones guitarist as well as a Netflix exclusive documentary. During these interviews, Keith trashed The Grateful Dead, Metallica, Black Sabbath, The Beatles' Sgt Pepper, and rap music as a genre. These are only the new comments we've gotten from him this year, however Keith has a long history of trashing his peers, no matter how beloved, from Led Zeppelin to Creedence Clearwater Revival.

    Winner: Music
    Loser: Angry Old Men (Keef)

    Damon Albarn vs. Adele

Adele recruited Blur frontman to help out on her highly anticipated 25, and clearly the sessions did not go very well, leading to Albarn calling the project "middle of the road" and calling Adele "insecure." Adele later said the whole thing was one of those "don't meet your idols type thing." Well, now we know that none of Damon's tracks made it on to the album (as he suspected) and 25 has been selling EXTRAORDINARILY well so...

    Winner: Adele
    Loser: Damon Albarn

    Meek Mill vs Drake

Blah blah blah, rap beefs...blah blah blah. Here's the short version. Meek Mill accused Drake of using a ghostwriter, the hip hop community took sides; fast forward a half dozed diss tracks and couple hundred tweets later, Drake brings Meek Mills career to a screeching halt with this.

    Winners: Drake, Memes
    Loser: Meek Mill

Morrissey vs Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Kristeen Young, MSG

Professional misanthrope Morrissey said in an in an interview, "we are force-fed such as Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith, which at least means that things can't possibly get any worse." Also, he cancelled the rest of his US tour (again) claiming that opener Kristeen Young had given him a virus, and if that wasn't enough, he demanded that meat not be served at Madison Square Garden when he performed there (it was.)

Winner: Sad Smith, Ed Sheeran, Kristeen Young's Respiratory System, Meat Eaters Everywhere
    Loser: Moz

    Nicki Minaj vs Miley Cyrus

So during Miley's time on the press circuit when she hosted this year's VMAs, she called Nicki Minaj out for being a bad feminist (due to Nicki's beef with Taylor Swift and the VMAs). Anyways, they exchanged tweets, everyone took a side and during Nicki's acceptance of her award for "Anaconda" she called Miley out with a veritable "ether." And now Nicki is one of the biggest pop/R&B stars on the planet and Miley has transitioned to being a weird cult music figure, touring with the Flaming Lips in support of an album that...wasn't great.

    Winner: Nicki Minaj
    Loser: Miley Cyrus
