That's right, everyone's (least?) favorite bad boy rock star is still alive, and he's even planning a comeback! Pete Doherty, frontman on The Libertines, has announced the band's planned reunion in a press release sent from the rehabilitation facility in Thailand where he is currently being treated.
In fact, the whole band went to Thailand to see Pete, as well as to sign a contract with Virgin EMI to create their first new album in ten years. What's more, the band hasn't played together since 2010 (except for a few gigs this summer), when they took a break from collaborating, due to mutual drug addictions and personal difference.
Since then, Doherty has been concentrating on his other project, Babyshambles, and getting clean, unclean, and clean again quite a few times.
Here's to another round of Libertines madness in 2015. Let's all keep a finger crossed it works out.
