It makes sense that Milo Greene sounds so cinematic—the band was born of a character that founders Robbie Arnett, Andrew Heringer and Marlana Sheetz created to promote their creative endeavors via email while studying at UC Irvine. Now Milo Greene refers to the trio's glassy musical act (also with Curtis Marrero and Graham Fink), no longer a secret invitational pseudonym but a full blown band that sounds as charming and off-beat as a bunch of hand-drawn cartoons, the same kind that (coincidentally) serves as the artwork for their recordings. Listen to their first collection of songs, dubbed The Hello Sessions, below.

Debut single "1957" is a polished and fragile example of the band's strengths, layering motifs over one another for maximum affection. We've got it as a free download for one week only, so grab it quick.
