The new single "Always Ascending" by our beloved Scottish band, Franz Ferdinand, is the first look into their new album of the same title to be released in 2018. It's more of that sound we adored during our tween years, but don't worry, there are still some signs of maturation. It brings nostalgia for their old tunes whilst opening our ears to their newly refined sound.

The video is a super stylized version of a live gig, they're playing their instruments in front of projected images of clouds and block colors; all the while the screen is scrolling="true" from top to bottom as a means of transition from each shot.

The song itself is not bad. It has a somewhat 80s-inspired, Crowded House vibe, with visuals to reinforce this idea. Directed by creative group AB/CD/CD, the video helps bring Franz Ferdinand back into the spotlight of relevance. We're excited to hear what's next.
